Grant Bellis

Mortgage Loan Originator | NMLS# 638036

Grant Bellis has spent nearly four decades in the lending business, helping more than 6,500 families purchase or refinance their homes along the way.

His career began in the lending industry in May 1987 with a finance company. In April 1992, Grant moved into mortgage lending, beginning a career that would span more than three decades and thousands of homebuyers.

Today, Grant is licensed to lend in all 50 states and works with borrowers on both home purchases and refinances. His mortgage expertise includes Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA loan programs, and he has a particular passion for helping first-time homebuyers and veterans understand programs that may make homeownership more accessible.

Experience Built on Relationships

After nearly four decades in the industry, Grant believes one of the best measures of success is not simply the number of loans closed. It is whether clients are willing to recommend you to someone they care about.

That philosophy has played a major role in building Grant's business. Approximately 99% of his business comes from referrals from realtors, and past clients.

To Grant, that number represents something much more meaningful than a statistic. It represents trust.

After helping thousands of families with their mortgages, Grant knows that every borrower comes to the process with different goals, questions and circumstances. His approach is to listen first, understand what the client is trying to accomplish, and then help identify the mortgage program that makes the most sense for their situation.

Helping First-Time Buyers and Veterans

Grant particularly enjoys working with first-time homebuyers and veterans. He understands that purchasing a home can feel overwhelming when you are unfamiliar with the mortgage process, and he believes borrowers should have someone who can explain their options clearly.

He also has extensive experience helping borrowers explore down payment assistance and other programs that may help reduce the upfront cost of buying a home.

In 2025 alone, Grant helped 25 families receive more than $245,000 in down payment assistance. He also helped 66 families qualify for a Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC), which can provide eligible homebuyers with a federal tax credit of up to $2,000 per year for the life of their mortgage.

Programs like these can make a meaningful difference for qualified borrowers, and Grant enjoys taking the time to explain how they work, determine whether a client may qualify, and help them understand the potential long-term benefit.

Recognized for Customer Satisfaction

Grant's commitment to his clients has earned recognition at both the local and national level.

He has been recognized multiple times among the top 1% of producing mortgage Loan Officers in America by Mortgage Executive Magazine. He was also voted a favorite Loan Officer by The Pantagraph Readers' Choice for 10 consecutive years, from 2016 through 2025.

In 2025, Grant was named one of Experience.com's Top 100 mortgage professionals in the nation for customer satisfaction. The recognition was based on verified client feedback and was especially meaningful to Grant because it reflected the experiences of the people he has helped.

He was also ranked among the top 1% nationally for customer satisfaction in 2024.

While awards and rankings are meaningful, Grant sees the referrals and reviews from his clients as the recognition that matters most.

Why Grant Still Loves Mortgage Lending

After almost four decades in lending, Grant still considers the best part of his job to be the job itself.

He loves helping people achieve the dream of homeownership, and the excitement of handing clients the keys to their new home has never worn off.

Grant's path into mortgage lending began with a simple conversation with a friend in 1992. At the time, Grant was living in a mobile home and wasn't sure where his new career would lead. His friend asked whether he thought he would fail. Grant's answer was simple: he wasn't afraid to work.

That conversation became the beginning of a career that Grant remains incredibly thankful for today.

One lesson he has carried throughout his career is that opportunities do not always arrive at the perfect time. Sometimes, you simply must be willing to open the door and see where the opportunity takes you.

Grant is glad he opened that door.

Life Outside of Lending

When he is not helping clients with their mortgage goals, Grant enjoys spending time with family and friends. Two of his favorite places are Cape Coral, Florida, and Lake of the Ozarks.

He especially enjoys being on the water, spending time with the people closest to him and making memories along the way.

After nearly four decades in lending, Grant's approach remains grounded in the same principles that started his career: work hard, take care of people, build relationships and be willing to recognize an opportunity when it comes along.

Whether you are a first-time homebuyer, a veteran, an experienced homeowner or someone considering refinancing, Grant Bellis brings decades of mortgage experience and a commitment to helping you find a financing solution that fits your goals.
